To ISU

I've been taking it easy -- very easy. But even so, I had a seizure Tuesday at the gym, and a seizure Wednesday in the car. And I've been feeling increasingly fatigued. Last night I slept 12 hours straight, got up to eat breakfast, and accidentally fell asleep on the couch for another hour. I have very little energy and it's expended very quickly. Could this be the return of the fall slide?

Despite all that, I'm visiting my sister at Illinois State this weekend. HOORAY! So excited.

Full list of movie rec's to come. I've been spending a lot of quality time on the couch. :-)

  1. What type of seizure symptoms do you get? I ask because the more I read about this syndrome, the more I think I really do have this. Not one doc can figure out what is wrong with me. I have many of the same symptoms and when I get dizzy I get grey-outs, facial numbness, thinging in my head/finger tips, then what I would call a seizure (which has gotten so much better over time) where I'm totaly blackedout but aware (think of a hard core grey-out) yet I'm flailing. The worse of these happens say if I'm sunbathing, get up, and I get the worse grey-outs, seizers where I have to immediately sit down otherwise I would fall down. I've had stomach issues, heart issues, hot flashes (thanks to post pregnancy). Every CT, MRI, blood test, ultrasound, and even some heart tests and all are normal. Extreme fatigue where docs say exercise is the cure. I started yoga and was doing great, and now I fell all the crap. The worse is around my period (I also have endometriosis) so it feels like a 'flare up' of arthritis where I'm too weak to even do yoga. Anyway, I'm trying to better understand this syndrome. I too am in IL.

  2. That sounds a lot like POTS, and some people report getting it after pregnancy too. Please email me at emmatrevor@gmail.com -- I would love to help you out and refer you to some specific tests and doctors.
